Back to School 2023-2024

A letter from Dr. Medina

On behalf of our SKTCS educators, we would like to welcome you
to the 2023 – 2024 school year. We are excited about the new year
and the commitment we’ve made to our scholars. It is our desire
ALL scholars attending SKTCS K-8th grade will be provided with a
rigorous high quality place-based education.
Three goals I have set for this year are to: establish a learning
environment centered around our scholars, create opportunities
for our families to engage in our school, and rebuild our school
culture. I appreciate your continued partnership and support as we
grow together to become the best charter school in all of Georgia!
Our SKTCS community and I wish you a wonderful 2023 – 2024
school year! Enjoy the last few days of summer, we look forward to
seeing everyone on Thursday, August 3, 2023!

Athletics

  • All 6th, 7th and 8th graders planning to participate in SKTCS Athletics must have a completed physical on file with the SKTCS Athletics Director in order to try out/practice/play.

    Send physicals to athletics@sktcs.org

    IMPORTANT: A fully completed physical packet is necessary for student participation in any SKTCS athletics team. Physical packets are good for one calendar year.  

    Students must also have a player/parent-coach agreement on file.

    SKTCS offers the following for our Scholars:

    Fall Sports
    – Cross Country- SKTCS
    – Football- Pair w/ Hubert MS (parent responsibility to get scholar to and from practice)
    – Cheerleading- Pair w/ Hubert MS (parent responsibility to get scholar to and from practice)
    – Volleyball- Pair w/ Hubert MS (parent responsibility to get scholar to and from practice)
    Winter Sport
     Basketball- Pair w/ Hubert MS (parent responsibility to get scholar to and from practice)
    Spring Sport
    – Track & Field- SKTCS

The Nest

The Nest will begin August 7, 2023. Parents can sign up weekly by visiting the payments page. The payment page will open on July 29th as all payments are due in advance of the week your child will need care.

3:30pm – 5:30pm

Florance Street Campus:

3:00pm-5:00pm

Parents can sign up weekly by visiting the payments page. The payment page will open on July 30th as all payments are due in advance of the week your child will need care. The portal will close on Sundays at 3:00 pm for the upcoming week.

 

Example: Week of  August 7-11, 2023 must be paid by August 6th no later than 2:59 pm or the daily drop in rate will apply. 

If scholar receives FRL send letter to business@sktcs.org for $10 off with the coupon code

Scholars will report to aftercare if not picked up by 3:30pm. Parents are required to pay the $12 Drop-in fee the same day before they sign the student out.
