David Nash
David ”Catfish” Nash was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. David earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Miami in Political Science. Next, he earned an associate’s degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University. After several years of working in the hospitality business, David finally found his true passion, teaching. Over the past twenty five years, he has taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grades, while earning two Master’s Degrees, in Elementary Education and School Counseling. Currently, David works at St. Andrew’s as the LS Counselor and MS basketball coach. Previously, David worked for 18 years at Savannah Country Day School as the MS Counselor, 6th grade English Teacher, Cultural Competency Coordinator, and MS Football Head Coach. David also has a passion for camp. For the past 25 years, he has served as a camper, counselor, supervisor and Athletic Director at Camp Kweebec in Schwenksville, Pa. The lessons learned from each day of his camp experience has been translated into his daily life. David currently resides in Savannah, Georgia with his wife Mindy and their two children, L. and Truman.
